Sonos Beam – Jenn Brown from Jenn Brown on Vimeo.
I love how much smarter our home seems to be getting! If you’ve followed any of my recent posts, you know that I’m always trying to find ways to make life easier as a busy Mom on the go. So any time I get the chance to try out new tech that helps me be more streamlined and efficient, I’m all in.
Now as you probably know, we are a big Amazon and Sonos family. We pretty much have Echo Shows/Echo Dots and Sonos/Sonos One speakers in every room in our house. We’ve also got Sonos sound bars under most of our TVs as well. So when I heard that Sonos had a new sound bar, the Sonos Beam, that is Amazon Alexa enabled, I was super excited to try it out.
Now, just by using your voice, you can control the sound of you TV. How does this make my life easier? Well, as you can see in my video, sometimes while cuddled up on the couch with the boys, the remote is no where to be found. Well now, you don’t have to search all over, simply say, “Alexa, turn up the volume on the TV” and viola! It’s that simple.
Sonos Beam is super compact, it’s actually considerable smaller than their other sound bar, and it can be mounted directly under the TV, or placed on top of a mantle or piece of furniture.
We can also use the Sonos Beam to do do any of the incredible Alexa skills we’ve come to love like ask it to play music or our favorite podcast, or get news updates for the day. You can also connect Beam wirelessly to othe rSonos Speakers to create a perfect home sound system. You can also stream directly from your Apple devices by using AirPlay or using Siri.
Needless to say, the new Sonos Beam was a perfect compliment to our smart home sound system and it’s a must-have for families looking to make life just a little bit easier.
