Ok, I like to cook, and I think I’m a pretty good cook. Now I didn’t grow up with a Betty Crocker/Martha Stewart type of a mother…I guess not in the baking kind of way, but my mom is a pretty damn good cook. We are an Italian family, so lots of pasta and meat. Basically, some amazing homemade recipes that aren’t written down anywhere just passed from generation to generation. So of course once I had little ones of my own, cooking became an important part of family life and something I look forward to sharing with my boys.
Interestingly enough, Nash loves to cook! I noticed when he was little he would sit in his high chair and watch me make his meals, and once he was old enough, we started to cook together. First it would be helping me stir the ingredients or using measuring cups, then it evolved to cracking an egg, and of course lots of taste testing.
So when we got the opportunity to try out the new KitchenAid Artisan Mini, I was super excited to put it to the Nash test! We decided to make homemade crepes one morning and Nash had a blast helping, as you can see by the pictures!
The first thing I noticed is that it takes up less counter space. It’s lighter in weight so you can easily move it around your kitchen without losing the iconic design, power, and features as the full-size mixers. It’s 20% smaller and 25% lighter, making it the ideal culinary tool for smaller spaces and kitchens. As you can see by the pictures, it took up such a small space on our kitchen counter and it really fit in perfectly in the corner of our kitchen!
Though mini in size, the NEW Mini Stand Mixer can make up to 5 dozen cookies in its 3.5-quart stainless steel bowl. The Artisan Mini Stand Mixer also features 10 mixing speeds and comes with a coated flat beater, dough hook, and 6-wire whip. Turn your stand mixer into the culinary center of your kitchen. With over 10 different attachments, you can make everything from fresh pasta to burgers, veggie noodles to a food processor and juicer!
Since the introduction of its iconic stand mixer in 1919, KitchenAid has continued to innovate, creating a full line of appliances with the same attention to detail, quality craftsmanship, and timeless design.

Here are some of my favorite features in the new Mini Mixer:
Tilt-Head Design
Allows clear access to the bowl and attached beater or accessory so you can easily add ingredients for a recipe. Locking the head into place during operation keeps the beater-to-bowl contact close and efficient.
Soft Start®
Helps to avoid ingredient splash and flour puff by starting at a lower speed.
10 Optimized Speeds
Powerful enough for nearly any task or recipe, whether you’re stirring wet and dry ingredients together, kneading bread dough or whipping cream.
3.5 Quart Brushed Stainless Steel Bowl
Enough capacity to mix up to 5 dozen cookies, a loaf of bread, a batch of guacamole, pulled pork and more.
