Wes loves to run, so for Father’s Day today I wanted to get him something I knew he would love and use. Now there are a ton of options out there for bluetooth earbuds, but as I’ve come to learn, not all bluetooth headphones/earbuds are created equal. The ones I (Nash & Rhett) ended up giving him, were the Jaybird RUN True wireless headphones. These wireless sport earbuds have everything you could want and more. They were designed by a runner for runners so every feature was perfectly planned out.
First, let’s talk about comfort. I actually have another brand of wireless bluetooth headphones and they are not that comfortable at all. Jaybird RUN’s in-ear design fits securely and directs music into your ears for full uninterrupted audio. They also feature interchangeable tips and fins to give you an incredibly comfortable fit that stays in place while you push for a new personal best.
The battery life features 12 total hours (4 hours of powerful sound on a single charge and an additional 8 hours on the portable charging case), but the super cool feature, which might be my favorite, is the fast charge functionality. You can get a 5 minute fast charge, which gives you one hour of play time. I can tell you nothing is worse than getting ready to go for a run, only to find out your earbuds aren’t charged and you’ll have to either wait 30+ minutes for them to charge, or go for your run without music…and let’s be honest, who wants to do that?!
They also have an in-line microphone which lets you enjoy hands-free calls, in case you get an important call you just can’t miss. They also are sweat and water resistant so you don’t have to worry about ruining your new buds should you get caught in the rain.
Another cool feature is the ability to customize your sound through the Jaybird App on your mobile device. Pump up the bass or crank the treble on the app, whatever you need to get your perfect sound to get you in the zone. Another AMAZING feature through the app is “Find My Buds.” Yep, you guessed it…if one of your trusty buds goes missing, the app will also help you locate your headphones. I literally got these buds just for this feature alone. I love my husband, but he looses everything. 🙂
Now I know there are a lot of options out there for bluetooth buds and my biggest piece of advice is, you get what you pay for. I’ve bought the cheap, no-name kind that I’ve found at the checkout line at Nordstrom Rack and I got exactly what I paid for them…one use, maybe two. The Jaybird RUN True Wireless Earbuds currently goes for $179.99, but right now at Best Buy, you can get them on sale for $149 ($30 off).
Check them out, I promise if you are a runner, these are the buds for you!
