For those of you that follow me, you know I love having a smart home. I’ve talked about a lot of different products and brands on my blog because Best Buy so graciously allows me to try them out when they hit the market. I love being able to share with YOU how gadgets and technology can make life easier. Now I do realize, that sometimes the products can be a bit pricey so it might not be an everyday purchase for your home. With the holidays right around the corner I am going to do my best to bring you reviews on all kinds of products to check out during the month of December.
Today I’m super excited to share Google’s new Smart Light Starter Kit because it’s super affordable and incredibly easy to set up! The kit comes with a Google Home Mini as well as the GE C-Life light bulb and we decided this would be the perfect thing to set up in Nash’s bedroom.
Every night I read a story to Nash in his little fort bed, but unfortunately there’s not a lot of light in there, so I always turn on the little tuck lamp next to his bed. We decided this would be the perfect place to put the light so he can control it with our voice!
Setup was SO simple! Like maybe the easiest setup I’ve ever experienced with a smart device. You literally plug in Google Home Mini, screw in the GE C-Life light bulb, and download the Google Home app. The app walks you through the quick steps like hooking up to your wifi and naming the device.
