I get so many questions about what to pair with chicken, beef, fish..any protein – other than broccoli. I’ve done some of our go-to’s already like Roasted Harissa Sweet Potatoes and The Chatham House Salad but wanted to give you some more healthy side options. These mushrooms pair perfectly with steak and are also Keto and Paleo friendly!
- 16oz (2 containers) button or cremini mushrooms
- 2-3 tbsp kerrigold butter
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt (I use Truffle Salt)
- 1 tbs apple cider vinegar
Start by dusting the dirt off of your mushrooms and cutting them into quarters (or any uniform size). Add them to a skillet with the butter. Over medium heat sauté the mushrooms for about 5-7 minutes – don’t worry if there is some browning – THIS IS FLAVOR. Add the salt, pepper and vinegar and cook for another 7-10 minutes.
They will be shiny, and buttery and oh so tasty!
